Milano Moda Uomo F/W 2021 • 10-14 January 2020

On 15 January 2021 Milano Moda Uomo kicks off with the fall / winter 2021-2022 collections. The calendar counts the presence of 37 brands with 4 physical shows and 32 digital contents, with a great focus on sustainability.

The news? The partnership with the Fashion Film Festival. Let’s see the details.

From 15 to 19 January 2021 we start with the Milan fashion week dedicated to Men’s fashion with the autumn / winter 2021-2022 collections, announced by the President of the Fashion Chamber, Carlo Capasa, together with the Councilor for Labor Policies, Production Activities, Commerce and Human Resources of Milan, Cristina Tajani. Prominent for this edition is the collaboration with the Fashion Film Festival, led by Constanza Cavalli Etro. The men’s fashion week will see five live fashion shows on the calendar (always in update): Fendi, Etro, K-way and Solid Homme. While Prada, Ermenegildo Zegna, MSGM, Tod’s, Dolce & Gabbana due to an advanced pandemic situation have given up the live show, they confirm the participation but in a web version as in the last edition. In addition, there will be 32 digital contents visible on the Camera Moda platform.

“This edition,” declared Carlo Capasa, president of CNMI, during the virtual press conference, “is part of a framework of concrete responses to the changed landscape of the fashion system and aims to be a dynamic solution to the complexity of the present. Our platform in fact it was designed to have a life of its own and to support both digital projects and physical fashion shows.”

The National Chamber of Italian Fashion and the Milan Fashion Film Festival, two leading realities in the international fashion industry, come together in a long-term partnership with the aim of creating a system and enhancing the exposure of Made in Italy also at abroad.

Fashion Film Festival Milano, an international fashion and culture event founded and directed by Constanza Etro celebrates its seventh edition which will be developed on three platforms: the digital platform CNMI www.cameramoda.it, the official website of the festival www.fffmilano.com, and on the streaming platform film www.mymovies.it.

Thanks to the philosophy of the festival “The Great Helps the Small” it will be possible to view works by the great names in fashion and cinema such as Matteo Garrone, Dior, Gucci, Hérmes, Fendi, Trussardi, Burberry, Fabien Baron, Heiko Keinath, Jacob Sutton, and many others, flanked by young emerging talents. As per tradition, the prestigious International Jury, called upon to evaluate the fashion films in competition, is made up of leading exponents from the world of fashion, cinema and art. Tim Yip, Director, Art director and Oscar-winning costume designer; Lachlan Watson, actor; Marcelo Burlon, creative director; Anna Dello Russo, journalist and influencer; Milovan Farronato, curator; Javier Goyeneche, founder of the sustainable Ecoalf brand; Margherita Maccapani Missoni, designer; Paolo Roversi, photographer; Elizabeth Von Guttman, founder of System Magazine; Tamu McPherson, influencer.

The last jury will be the festival audience who, thanks to the free digital vote available on the official website of the Festival, will be able to vote for their favorite fashion film, decreeing the winner of the People’s Choice Award. Also for this edition the awards are designed by the Italian artist Barnaba Fornasetti.
