Romano XI — Hub Market — Milano Moda Donna 2021

This digital edition of the Fashion Hub Market Milano Moda Donna 2021 — 2022 was a welcome opportunity to showcase for the first time the creativity of the ready-to-wear of the young designer Ralph Alexander with his ready-to-wear brand “Romano XI”.

One of the pillars of Camera della Moda Italiana is support to new talents in fashion alongside sustainability issues. An exclusive moment was dedicated in this edition to discover one of the emerging talents selected among the most interesting on the international scene.

Born in 2003 in Virginia (USA) into a multicultural family, and having grown up, in Switzerland, Ralph Alexander at 17 is a creative young man. He spends his leisure time playing the piano and has done so far 14 compositions for the film; he has also written several film scripts and is a budding actor. Recently, he has launched his first short film together with his friend and director of photography Ahmad Muhanna. The film has received accolades at various niche film festivals in the US.

Ralph Alexander’s challenge will be to create a connection with the new generation of consumers, without losing his distinctive style characterized by minimalist and limited-edition clothing.

“It took me a lot of inspiration and effort to develop my new collection and I did not want to restrict myself to a particular season. The shirts and pants I designed can be worn any time of the year and won’t be outdated after just one season — I am really not a fan of fast fashion.

Ralph Alexander chooses easy-to-care-for fabric and ennobles it through multi-colored, history-inspired designs to fit the modern urban lifestyle and elevate it to the youth fashion market thanks to the avowed fashion knowledge of Olha Bogarchuk and her team.
