MONTE-CARLO FASHION WEEK

IN THE STARTING BLOCKS WITH ITS RICH CALENDAR OF RUNWAY SHOWS, CONFERENCES, EXHIBITIONS AND EVENTS: TO CELEBRATE THE TENTH EDITION ARE EXPECTED GENNY, FAUSTO PUGLISI FOR ROBERTO CAVALLI, BENOIT-LOUIS VUITTON

Monaco, May 2 2023. Torna, ricca di novità e con un focus sempre più internazionale, la Monte-Carlo Fashion Week (MCFW©), l’evento ufficiale della moda del Principato di Monaco. La decima edizione della manifestazione nata nel 2013 e organizzata dalla Chambre Monégasque de la Mode (CMM), in partenariato con il Governo Monegasco e la Mairie di Monaco sarà in scena dal 17 al 21 maggio 2023 con le proposte resort, cruise e capsule collections.

Back with lots of new products and with an ever more international focus, Monte-Carlo Fashion Week (MCFW©), the official fashion event of the Principality of Monaco. The tenth edition of the event born in 2013 and organized by the Chambre Monégasque de la Mode, the Fashion Council of the Principality of Monaco (CMM), in partnership with the Monegasque Government and the Town Hall of Monaco will take place from May 17 to 21, 2023 with the presentation of the Resort, Cruise and Capsule. Under the High Patronage of Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene of Monaco, Monte-Carlo Fashion Week, year after year, gains its prestige, also thanks to membership in the international fashion weeks calendar. The event is increasingly attended by buyers, fashion professionals from all over the world thanks to the participation of internationally renowned brands and celebrities who frequent the Principality.

The Fashion Council of the Principality of Monaco, created in April 2009 by Federica Nardoni Spinetta, and under her presidency, has a dual purpose: on the one hand, to represent and disseminate the values of local fashion by promoting Made in Monaco creativity at international level , thanks also to emerging brands, and on the other to propel the Principality into the key contexts of world fashion.

It will be the Museum of the Cars Collection of H.S.H. the Prince of Monaco, the Yacht Club of Monaco and the Grimaldi Forum to be the contemporary places of reception of the rich calendar.

The event will make its debut at the Fashion Hub in the exclusive setting of the Yacht Club de Monaco, where the conferences will also be held, which will see arguments such as fashion, business, circularity, inclusivity, culture alternate on the podium, art, with speakers of the caliber of Benoit-Louis Vuitton, Corporate Director of Louis Vuitton; Matteo Ward, CEO and co-founder of WRÅD; Carlo D’Amario, CEO of Vivienne Westwood.

Hosts of the catwalks will be Monegasque brands: Beach & Cashmere Monaco by Federica Nardoni Spinetta with an ethically responsible collection carrying a strong message in support of women; Marlea Monte-Carlo with a collection that makes us breathe the freedom and lightness of holidays on the Cote d’Azur; the feminine representation of Crisoni, the eco-sustainable luxury of FITME Monte-Carlo.

Internationality will be ensured by Simone Guidarelli, the Creative Director e Celebrities Stylist, who will present his exclusive collection, inspired by his love and his bond with nature and who will open the days of the fashion shows; by Anglo-Saxon eco- sustainable brand Velvet Pink Banana; the precious contemporaneity of the young Uprising brand; by French eco-sustainable Thalie Paris; a breath of the Orient by the Japanese Mami Okano; the Optical art of Brazilian artist Marcos Marin x Diana Mara; the couture art of Flavia Fleming; the genderless collections of Nicolò Tonetto, the sophisticated glamour of Laura Spreti, etc.

Closing the parades at the Cars Collection Museum of H.S.H. the Prince of Monaco will be Collini Milano 1937, with its glamorous and luxury collection which well represents the sophisticated image of the Principality of Monaco.

Genny, the made in Italy house directed by the creative director Sara Cavazza Facchini, with its chic and incomparable style will close the fashion shows under the glass roof of the Verriere of the Grimaldi Forum.

To follow the highly anticipated MCFW Fashion Award 2023 Ceremony, in which the designers and fashion personalities who have distinguished themselves by their ethical and innovative vision will be awarded.

Great expectation for the presence of Fausto Puglisi for the Roberto Cavalli house who will receive the Legacy Award and that will bring to life the glamour of the Cavalli World with a temporary exhibition of the most iconic outfits created by him since he has been at the head of the house.

The tenth edition of Monte-Carlo Fashion Week will end with the Financial Times Luxury Summit.
