THE MONTE-CARLO FASHION WEEK IS BACK AGAIN THIS YEAR AS THE OFFICIAL FASHION EVENT OF THE PRINCIPALITY OF MONACO

Monaco, 19 May 2023. Back with lots of new brands and with a stronger international focus, the Monte-Carlo Fashion Week (MCFW©), is back as the official fashion event of the Principality of Monaco.

The tenth edition of the event, born in 2013 is organized by the Chambre Monegasque de la Mode (CMM), in partnership with the Monegasque Government and the Mayor of Monaco and is running from the 17 to 21 May 2023 featuring resort, cruise and capsule collections.

Under the High Patronage of H.S.H. Princess Charlene of Monaco, the Monte-Carlo Fashion Week, year after year, acquires prestige, especially thanks to the rich catalog of the fashion week.

The Chambre Monégasque de la Mode founded in April 2009 by Federica Nardoni Spinetta, and under her presidency, has a dual purpose : on one hand, to represent and disseminate the values of local fashion by promoting Made in Monaco creativity internationally, also thanks to emerging brands, and on the other hand to project the Principality into the key contexts of worldwide fashion.

The event started at the Fashion Hub in the exclusive setting of the Yacht Club of Monaco, where the conferences were held, opened by Benoit-Louis Vuitton, Corporate Director of Louis Vuitton. The conferences witnessed a wonderful exchange between professionals with topics revolving around fashion, business, circularity, exclusivity, culture and art.

In the wonderful setting of the Collection of Cars of H.S.H. The Prince of Monaco held the fashion shows.

Opening the catwalks was Simone Guidarelli, Creative Director of Vanity Fair and Celebrity Stylist, who presented his exclusive collection inspired by his love for nature.

To follow Simone Guidarelli, was the Monegasque brand Beach & Cashmere Monaco by Federica Nardoni Spinetta who made us breathe the Grand Prix air, with a collection dedicated to Formula 1. Always ethically responsible, with the use of dead-stock and natural and sustainable materials, the brand of the President of the Chambre Monégasque de la Mode has been able to translate sustainability into contemporary glamour. Accompanying the outfits were the shoes of the Monegasque Von Lowenstein.

Followed by the Monegasque brand Marlea Monte-Carlo with a collection that let us breathe the freedom and lightness of a holiday on the French Riviera.

The eco-sustainable luxury of FITME Monte-Carlo closed the first day of fashion shows.

Today continues with an interesting conference program at the Monaco Yacht Club, where the Fashion Hub is also located with the Pop-ups of some international brands: Thalie Paris, Flavia Fleming, Niccolò Tonetto, Ika Butoni, Ushak, FITME Monte-Carlo, Hemcael, Inessa Creations.

The fashion shows continue today with a rich programme.

The runway shows will be closed by Genny, the made in Italy brand led by creative director Sara Cavazza Facchini, with her chic and unmistakable style.
