ELEVENTY MILANO FASHION WEEK — Spring / Summer 2022

Digital News Fashion attended the presentation of the new Eleventy Collection during MFW. Eleventy has always insisted on an original style with new fabrics in its clothes to offer more comfort for people wearing the brand’s clothes, all without sacrificing elegance and a professional look.

At Eleventy’s showroom, in a lively discussion with the brand’s co-founder Marco Baldassari, we learned that a collection can be simple and authentic, no superfluous additions needed. Paolo Zuntini, Director at Eleventy World, explained that Eleventy’s brand is representative of Italian style and has gained a large following around the world.

The Eleventy SS22 women’s collection aims to answer this question, talking not to one woman but to several WOMEN. For the next season, we propose a VERSATILE, FLUID, LIGHT collection in the theme of RELAXED ELEGANCE, where the INFLUENCES of the world of design, of classical elements, of tailoring and of technical inspiration are blended in an unusual and natural way for a MODERN femininity.

Essential items to “ROTATE” in our wardrobe that take on different inspirations according to the combinations chosen, suitable for daytime, for leisure but also for formal occasions.

VALUES AND CULTURES FROM OUR TERRITORY

The softness of neutrals is mixed and enriched by braids, prints, colors and welcome us into an INNER JOURNEY through ARTISAN PERFUMES and TRADITIONS that belong to the culture of Made in Italy: the blues of the Sicilian majolica, the reds of Tuscan terracotta, jacquard of tapestries and carpets, textures and fringes, artfully placed scarf designs.

ATHLETIC TAILORING

The discovery of comfortable outfits led us to the design of looks with a leisure nature.

The technical outerwear is mixed with metropolitan details to increase its versatility and occasion of use. Pleated skirts in technical fabric are designed with soleil folds enriched by hand-painted contrasting touches. Sweatshirts are embellished with light points in the side bands and the matelassé effects gives a glamorous touch into the athleisure world.

The duster coat with fringes becomes a versatile garment, while the sporty bomber jackets are embellished with placed foulard prints and the track pants have fluidity thanks to the techno silk. The denim is enriched by a patchwork construction with various shades of bleach both in the indigo version and in the raw version.

GENDER CONTAMINATION

Traditional masculine fabrics take on femininity both in lightweight bomber jackets and tailored suits. From wool canvas embellished with very fine lurex textures to pinstripes in stretch canvas, from the finest cashmere obtained from natural fleece to super-twisted crepe cotton for a contemporary attitude.

Shirts become glamorous in the fluidity of printed silk and sophisticated ultralight poplin.

Greys, naturals and beiges are drawn from the man’s wardrobe for the development of outerwear, enriched by color details into the accessories, such as yellows, pinks and brick reds. The blazers are offered both with feminine fits and yarn-dyed jersey, further embellished with metal buttons with material textures.

Silk, cotton, linen — plain colors or realized in exclusive prints — are the key materials of summer dresses from shirt to maxi dresses coherent with a relaxed elegance.

KNITWEAR IS DEVELOPED IN relaxed fits from the precious wool-silk yarn to the cropped cotton crepe enriched with profiles with athletic extraction. From rustic braids for textured cardigans to long flowing dresses. The small fretwork stitches enrich the lightweight sweaters in noble yarns for summer looks.
