Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana

Along with Milano Moda Donna, Milano Moda Uomo is the International event with all the innovations of prêt-à-porter for men presented by the most important maisons of Italian fashion; during the event more than 100 fashion shows and presentations take place; Italian and foreign journalist attending are more than 1000 and buyers are almost 10.000. With two annual appointments: January (fall/winter collection) and June (spring/summer collection), the fully booked calendar of the event is the proof of the great interest shown by market operators toward men’s fashion.

Presse Release: Milano Moda Uomo 12/15 January 2018 – Final Schedule

I'm delighted to be sending you the definite fashion show calendar for the upcoming Milano Moda Uomo – 12/15 January 2018. This year's shows will kick off on Friday 12 January and end on Monday 15 January, while the events and presentations will begin on Saturday 13 and end on Monday 15 January.

In response to changing modes of expression in men's fashion that we've been seeing for some seasons now we have developed a new format for our calendar that brings together all types of appointment. This enables us to more effectively highlight the unique and special image that each brand intends to convey in line with its particular aesthetic and vision.

This new format, which also has a new layout, will be more useful and suited to the needs of the trade operators engaged in Milano Moda Uomo.

13 events, 7 presentations by arrangement and 55 appointments, including special events, presentations and shows, of which some co-ed: Diesel Black Gold, Isabel Benenato, Neil Barrett, Marcelo Burlon County of Milan, Dsquared2, Daks, Sartorial Monk, Palm Angels, GCDS and Frankie Morello. For some seasons now, many brands have been choosing Milano Moda Uomo to present their men's and women's collections together, while the Milano Moda Donna calendar will be featuring other co-ed shows.

This season, four new brands will be showing at Milano Moda Uomo for the first time: Isabel Benenato, an Italian brand founded by Isabel Vitiello, Represent, a UK brand set up in 2012 by brothers George and Mike Heaton, and Hunting World, a long-established New York brand founded by Robert M. Lee in 1959. Thanks to support from CNMI, the Italian brand Sartorial Monk, inspired by the creative genius of Sabato Russo, will also feature on the calendar for the first time.

Also showing during the four-day Milano Moda Uomo will be Federico Curradi, Sulvam, Sunnei and Yoshio Kubo, thanks to support from Camera della Moda. The week will be closed by a special event Spazio Maiocchi, supported by CNMI.

There are major novelties in terms of presentations too, with a number of international brands appearing on the calendar for the first time: Big Uncle, Maurizio Miri, M140, Tommy Hilfiger and Wu Hao.

7 appointments, including shows and other events, will be held in CNMI's new fashion show room at Padiglione Visconti (Via Tortona 58).

It's a calendar that brings down barriers between shows and other forms of expression, and between big-name brands and new entries, in the spirit of contamination that characterizes modern fashion.
