ORIENTAL FASHION SHOW RETURNS TO PARIS AND HONORS ITS COUTURIERS AT THE ORIENTAL FASHION AWARDS, THE CEREMONY ORGANIZED IN COLLABORATION WITH UNESCO

On 24 and 25 January 2023 the fiftieth edition of the Oriental Fashion Show took place in Paris 

After organizing the exhibition “The Wonders of the Caftan” in Rabat under the aegis of the Moroccan Ministry of Culture on the occasion of the XVII session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of UNESCO, OFS is back in the City of Light. 

For its fiftieth edition, the Oriental Fashion Show remains faithful to its vocation of honoring cultural diversity by revealing the talent of its stylists. For this occasion the Rive Gauche was chosen, for its historical and romantic aspects; the fashion shows took place in the prestigious and elegant Hotel de l’Industrie, an emblematic building of French excellence, located in Place Saint Germain des Pres. The mission of the Oriental Fashion Show is to satisfy the needs of French excellence and at the same time work for dialogue between the cultures of the world. 

During the fashion shows the work of fifteen designers was unveiled, rigorously chosen for the uniqueness of their work and for their talent: Hany El Behairy (Egypt), Adiba Al Mahboub (Kuwait), Hind Zeiden (Lebanon), Lalla Aicha Mouaastassim “Mautassin” (Morocco) Ecaterina Sergheevici “Morphine” (Moldova), Ika Butoni (Indonesia), Sabina Volskaya, Hanum Aidash (Kazakhstan), Aziz Ruziyev (Uzbekistan), Omri Fashion by Elayan Omri (Nazareth), Maison Yacef (Algeria), Zineb Hazim (Italy), Addy Van Den Krommenacker (Netherlands) and Nabil Younes (France).  

The Oriental Fashion Awards Ceremony sponsored by the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan will be held at the UNESCO headquarters on January 27, 2023, to honor designers, stylists, and couturiers who work to safeguard the art of dress, as well as to thank the partners and supporters of the Oriental Fashion Show.
