COUTURE FASHION NIGHT 4.0: ZÜRICH BRINGS COUTURE, ART AND CONTEMPORARY LUXURY TO THE RUNWAY

At The Dolder Grand, the fourth edition of Couture Fashion Night brought together 12 creative voices, showcasing couture, artisanal leatherwork, wearable art, heritage craftsmanship and contemporary streetwear.

ZÜRICH, Switzerland — Couture, artistic experimentation and contemporary luxury took centre stage on 17 October 2026 as Couture Fashion Night returned to The Dolder Grand in Zürich for its fourth edition. Under the banner The Swiss Luxury Fashion Gala, CFN 4.0 presented a diverse programme of designers and creative labels, bringing together sculptural silhouettes, intricate embellishments, statement accessories and modern interpretations of everyday dressing.

Rather than focusing on a single aesthetic, the event explored the many dimensions of contemporary fashion. Traditional couture shared the spotlight with wearable art, artisanal craftsmanship, heritage textiles and adaptable streetwear, reflecting an industry increasingly interested in individuality, creative identity and the stories behind the garments.

Founded in Zürich in 2024 by couturier Ketty Núñez and luxury marketer Prat Das Kanungo, Couture Fashion Night was conceived as a platform connecting designers with the wider luxury industry. Its fourth edition continued that vision through runway presentations, a curated exhibition and opportunities for designers, brands, media representatives and guests to connect.

Twelve designers, twelve creative perspectives

The diversity of the participating designers was central to the identity of CFN 4.0. Each brought a distinct approach to fashion, demonstrating how personal expression, material selection and craftsmanship can shape different interpretations of modern luxury.

Among the featured names were Ketty Núñez and Jean Luc Amsler, whose work represented the expressive world of couture and occasionwear. Kathia Dobó Bridal & Couture brought a focus on dramatic silhouettes and decorative detail, while Céline Surdez’s Pardessus19 explored versatile design and timeless elegance.

Accessories also played an important role in the programme. Cédric Perrier highlighted artisanal leatherwork and carefully crafted bags presented within the Jean Luc Amsler show, demonstrating how accessories can complement and extend a designer’s vision.

A more artistic approach emerged through Inese Kamarūte’s DOBRZANSKA, which approaches fashion as wearable art, combining individual expression with an emphasis on craftsmanship. Jennifer Gehr Art & Fashion presented an art-led perspective through hand-painted and embellished upcycled denim, transforming familiar garments into distinctive creative statements while exploring more sustainable approaches to fashion.

Heritage, art and the value of craftsmanship

The relationship between fashion and cultural heritage formed another strand of the event.

Maria Marthaler Palacio’s MAKUMAYU connects contemporary design with Peruvian textile traditions and artisanal expertise, including the use of baby alpaca fibre. Its approach highlights how traditional materials and craftsmanship can inform contemporary luxury design.

Cornelia Hagmann Art & Design represented the dialogue between art and design, broadening the programme beyond conventional fashion categories. Roberta Orler contributed another creative perspective through a distinctive portrait presented as the runway backdrop, adding an artistic dimension to the show’s visual environment.

Meanwhile, Dorentina Medunjanin’s PERRANDOR formed part of the curated designer line-up, alongside Gertrudis Adenauer’s SIERRA Zürich. The latter’s All Day Long philosophy centres on versatile clothing for women moving between different roles and occasions throughout the day.

Completing the line-up, Mejor Francisco Streetwear introduced its first collection, bringing an urban perspective to the gala. With creative direction by Ketty Núñez and technical support from Ahmad Kron, the label explores how comfortable, adaptable streetwear can retain a sophisticated character.

Together, these creative perspectives illustrated a broad understanding of luxury — one that extends beyond exclusivity to encompass individuality, material quality, versatility and the craftsmanship behind each piece.

Beyond the runway: connecting fashion and business

Couture Fashion Night positions fashion as part of a wider cultural and commercial conversation. Alongside the runway, its exhibition and networking format creates opportunities for designers to engage with luxury brands, media, influencers, entrepreneurs and potential collaborators
.
This approach reflects the evolving role of fashion events. Beyond presenting collections, they can provide independent labels with visibility, help established designers reach new audiences and encourage partnerships across fashion, beauty, hospitality and lifestyle.

The setting of The Dolder Grand reinforced the gala’s luxury positioning, while the diversity of the participating creative disciplines gave CFN 4.0 an identity extending beyond a conventional runway show.

For independent designers in particular, access to relevant audiences and industry connections can be an important part of building recognition. By bringing creative talent and commercial stakeholders together, Couture Fashion Night aims to create an environment in which artistic vision and professional opportunity can meet.

A Zürich platform with international ambitions

At the heart of Couture Fashion Night is the ambition to strengthen Zürich’s visibility within the international fashion landscape.

Co-founder Ketty Núñez brings a couturier’s perspective and a focus on fashion creation, while Prat Das Kanungo, founder of Zurich.Influencers, contributes experience in luxury marketing, public relations and brand collaborations. Their complementary backgrounds underpin an event concept that connects designers, luxury businesses and audiences within one setting.

The initiative also reflects a broader opportunity for Switzerland’s fashion scene: to give local talent greater visibility while developing relationships with international designers and the global luxury market.

Zürich’s position as a luxury destination provides a distinctive context for this ambition. By combining fashion presentations with art, craftsmanship, hospitality and networking, Couture Fashion Night seeks to contribute to the city’s evolving creative landscape.

The future of luxury is individual

CFN 4.0 offered a reminder that contemporary fashion cannot be defined by a single trend, silhouette or design philosophy. Its programme moved between couture, statement accessories, art-led garments, heritage materials and adaptable streetwear — different expressions connected by an emphasis on individual vision.

For emerging labels, platforms such as Couture Fashion Night offer an opportunity to introduce their work to new audiences. For established creatives, they provide another setting in which to communicate their identity. For the wider industry, they create opportunities to discover talent and build relationships beyond the traditional fashion capitals.

With its fourth edition, Couture Fashion Night continued to develop its identity as a Zürich-based platform with an international outlook, bringing together creative expression and the wider luxury ecosystem.

Ultimately, the message of CFN 4.0 was that luxury fashion is about more than the finished garment. It is also about the imagination, skill, cultural influences and individuality that bring each creation to life.

The CFN story continues: Couture Fashion Night 5.0 is planned for autumn 2027.
